How Money Is Spent

There are four ways in which you can spend money:

1. You can spend your own money on yourself. When you do that, you try to get the most value for your money.
   
2. You can spend your own money on someone else. For example, purchasing a gift, you may not be so careful about the contents, but you’re very careful about the cost.


3. You can spend other people’s money on yourself. Which means you’ll probably be having a great lunch.


4. Finally you can spend other people’s money on other people. When this happens you’re never concerned about cost or value. And that’s government and how tax payer’s money is spent.
